Kdy\u017e mu bylo 16 let a studoval ve druh\u00e9m ro\u010dn\u00edku, nak\u00e1zal kn\u00ed\u017ee hlavn\u00edmu \u0161\u00e9fkucha\u0159i p\u0159ipravit ojedin\u011blou pochoutku pro v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 hosty, je\u017e jej m\u011bli nav\u0161t\u00edvit. Na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed (samoz\u0159ejm\u011b pro Sachera) \u0161\u00e9fkucha\u0159 najednou ocho\u0159el, a tak nezbylo nic jin\u00e9ho a p\u0159\u00edkaz musel splnit n\u011bkdo jin\u00fd. A tak vymyslel Franz z\u00e1klad tohoto pov\u011bstn\u00e9ho dortu. Pro\u010d ale ji\u017e po druh\u00e9 zd\u016fraz\u0148uji, \u017ee se jednalo pouze o jeho z\u00e1klad? Fin\u00e1ln\u00ed verzi toti\u017e vynalezl a\u017e jeho syn b\u011bhem sv\u00e9ho studia u kr\u00e1lovsk\u00e9ho a c\u00edsa\u0159sk\u00e9ho dvorn\u00edho cukr\u00e1\u0159e t\u00edm, \u017ee p\u0159idal origin\u00e1ln\u00ed kombinaci \u010dokol\u00e1dov\u00e9 polevy a meru\u0148kov\u00e9ho d\u017eemu. Tak takto vznikl legend\u00e1rn\u00ed v\u00edde\u0148sk\u00fd dort, kter\u00fd se t\u011b\u0161il a st\u00e1le t\u011b\u0161\u00ed velk\u00e9 oblib\u011b.\t\tOv\u0161em d\u016fvodem tak velk\u00e9ho obdivu nen\u00ed jen jeho chu\u0165 ale tak\u00e9 fakt, \u017ee jeho tradi\u010dn\u00ed receptura je tajemstv\u00edm stejnojmenn\u00e9ho hotelu, kter\u00fd zalo\u017eili potomci z\u00a0rodu Sacher\u016f. To je tak\u00e9 d\u016fvodem, pro\u010d si tuto pochoutku neodpustit zav\u00edt\u00e1te-li do V\u00eddn\u011b.\t\tAbyste mohli vyr\u00e1b\u011bt tento dort, dostali povolen\u00ed na ozna\u010den\u00ed Sacher a v\u016fbec jej um\u011bli vyrobit, mus\u00edte se zajet za\u0161kolit do jeho rodn\u00e9 zem\u011b. Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b naraz\u00edte na spoustu recept\u016f, ale p\u0159i v\u00fdrob\u011b prav\u00e9ho Sacheru mus\u00edte db\u00e1t na kvalitn\u00ed suroviny, p\u0159esn\u00e9 pom\u011bry a gram\u00e1\u017ee surovin i na postup p\u0159\u00edpravy. Nesm\u00edrn\u011b n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9 je pro cukr\u00e1\u0159e jen samotn\u00e9 pol\u00e9v\u00e1n\u00ed \u010dokol\u00e1dou, kter\u00e1 mus\u00ed b\u00fdt na dortu ve stejnom\u011brn\u00e9 vrstv\u011b, proto\u017ee se prov\u00e1d\u00ed jin\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem ne\u017e u b\u011b\u017en\u00fdch polev.
